Since December, you’ve probably noticed a narrowing in the Chaussée de Waterloo, near the Blaret farm.

Traffic was reduced to two lanes, one in each direction.

This preventive measure had to be taken without delay due to a risk of instability caused by the rupture of an underground sewer pipe crossing the roadway at a depth of 8 m.

Since then, the commune’s departments have been hard at work: surveys have been carried out, a design office has been appointed, specifications for the restoration work have been drawn up, and these have been put out to tender in accordance with public procurement regulations.

Given the scale of the work (800,000 euros), it was essential for the commune to comply with this procedure, which in this case was carried out with great vigor.

Now that the contract has been awarded, work is due to start next month.
